Freedom and equality have always been two passions of mine. In mid-January, it came to my attention through my school's Human Rights Council just how big of a problem slavery is for India's children.
Mica is a special mineral found in the majority of the world's cosmetics. 60% of the world's mica is mined in India, where 20,000 children as young as age 3 are illegally and unethically employed. These children are often mistreated and unpaid. Made in a Free World (MIAFW) works to end such slavery by developing "safe villages" for the children to learn and play instead of work. $50 will prevent a child from working and provide them an education for one year. $100 will supply the child with all of that, plus a bike to go safely to and from school. $15,000 would be enough to support an entire village.
With your donations, MIAFW will work to end forced child labor and supply them with the tools to build a better future.
